Demonstratives agree with the noun: 'este' (this, masc.), 'esta' (this, fem.), 'estos' (these, masc.), 'estas' (these, fem.). Use 'ese/esa' for things near the listener.
Esta camisa es blanca. Estos pantalones son azules. Esa camisa es roja.
Near me: este/esta. Near you: ese/esa. Far: aquel/aquella.
¿Puedo + infinitive? (Can I...?)
To ask permission in stores use '¿Puedo...?' + infinitive: '¿Puedo probármela?' (Can I try it on?), '¿Puedo pagar con tarjeta?'.
¿Puedo probarme esta camisa? ¿Puedo pagar con tarjeta? ¿Puedo ver ese vestido?
'Poder' is o→ue in the present: puedo, puedes, puede.
Me queda / me quedan (it fits me)
'Quedar' expresses how something fits: 'me queda bien' (it fits me well), 'me quedan grandes' (they're too big for me). The verb agrees with the garment.
Esta camisa me queda perfecta. Los pantalones me quedan grandes. ¿Cómo me queda?
Too big: 'me queda grande'. Too small: 'me queda chico/a'.
