Querer + infinitive for plans
'Quiero abrir', 'quiero cambiar', 'quiero sacar' — want + infinitive. In the past: 'Quise abrir' (I tried), 'Quería abrir' (I wanted, ongoing).
Quiero abrir una cuenta y sacar dinero.
'Querer + inf' is the standard way to state intentions at the bank.
Tardar en + infinitive
'Tardar en' = to take time to do something: 'el trámite tarda diez minutos', 'tardé una hora en llegar'. For impersonal time use 'toma': 'toma diez minutos'.
El trámite tarda diez minutos. Tardamos veinte en cambiar el dinero.
Tardar (person) + en + inf: 'Tardé en llegar'.
